This weekend was beautiful!! Sunny and in the mid-high 70's..gorgeous!
Saturday, we all headed up to Poulsbo for Adam's opening baseball game. The kids and i just chilled in our chairs...reading, watching, and snacking.
no color correcting here...this is truly how bright and vibrant the colors were.
i snapped this with my iphone...it was too sweet not to :)
Benjamin informed me that he was making birthday invites for his party. I wasn't aware he was having one, but i guess he is now! These are so "him". I love it.
(i blacked out the address..not him. haha)
i took this photo thinking about how hilarious it is that when they are babies, we have to do everything possible to keep them from doing this...lest they suffocate themselves. But somehow, the older we get, it doesn't matter. haha. The sky starts getting light around 4:30...we do this in the summer to get a decent amount of shut-eye :).
i posted this one on facebook, but i love it, so i'm posting it here too. This was friday night, and we sat upstairs just chatting for a long time. I kept being struck that her calm, confident, thoughtful manner of speaking and tone of voice made me feel like i was talking with a grown up. It wasn't child-like at all. She had gone to the gig harbor history museum with her class that day, and she kept saying how she wished she lived in the early 1900's (talk about a mini-me!). She loved it. We have decided to go to the Washington State History Museum on Father's day since Adam and Ben will be at the Mariner's game to celebrate ben's b-day and father's day (they land on the same day). I'm excited to go with her.
i leave you with these poppy's... they have been budding for awhile and i had no idea what they would be. i LOVE poppy's! so i was super excited when they bloomed :)
erin, you can totally still see the address on that invitation. hilarious, though. there's no way you can squash the party idea now. he wins. ashlyn really does look quite grown-up these days. and that picture of them holding hands in the car is really sweet! i miss you guys!
