i love aprons. i don't wear them enough. my mom has given me a couple aprons over the years, and i have decided that i need more. a lot more. i once saw a photo on a blog i read of this woman's apron collection hanging on her kitchen wall. it was so pretty! i think if i had a half dozen or so of aprons hanging on my wall, i wouldn't be able to help tying one on more often.
So, i have a couple apron patterns, but i have had my eye on this specific pattern for awhile...it's called The Pretty Ditty apron (i bought it on etsy, if anyone is interested). i thought it would be perfect made with a fun panel of fabric by Echino. i ordered it all awhile back, but i just got around to making it yesterday. i love this kind of sewing....you work for a couple hours and voila! it's done :) and i can wear it, to boot! I love this pattern because of how flattering it is with the cinched waist and gathered bust. i think i'd also like to make this one into a half apron by eliminating the top part. Hmmmm....
ooooo that's super cute! It'd actually be pretty cute as a skirt too. Love it paired with the polka dots.

*let me add... you'd need to add a back side to make it work as a skirt. :)
