from this weekend.
adam and the kids spent hours playing Zelda. we downloaded the game to the Wii. adam got out his zelda maps and had the kids help him navigate. They had a blast :)
i made myself some Pj pants. i have this odd problem that i can't for the life of me make a pair of well-fitting pj pants. they are either too tight in the waist (read: too small to fit over my hips), or too tight in the rear, or...something. every time it is a different problem. i use a favorite pair of pants as a pattern, but something always goes wrong. Anyway, i was determined!! i made one pair which fit ok, but stupid me didn't pre-wash the fabric! so, they shrunk quite a bit. now they are a size too small. I learned from it though, and set out to make another pair. i used a twin size flat sheet that i bought on clearance ($1.98) at Target awhile back. Let me just say that sheets (if they have a good feel to them) are THE BEST to use for pj pants. it's like walking around in your bed. soooo comfy. So, this time, since i was using a white sheet, i opted to line them. They are double layered, which makes for a very thick and luxurious feeling pj pant. i used one of my favorite prints for the hem, waist band, and drawstring. Let me just say...i love these pants!!! they are a bit baggy, which adds to the comfort, i think. i could live in them.
yesterday, we went to a bowling b-day party for Lauren Black. it's quite hilarious to see my kids bowl. they basically just haphazardly throw the ball down and hope for the best. Ben actually got a few spares, though! :)

i love the picture of the kids passed out in the car. but what's up with ben's hair? it's finally laying flat! bring back the fuzzy look!!

anna, it lays flat after he's had his hood or a hat on (he loves having his hood up)... and it's a bit long right now, so that always makes it go flat faster.
