So, this is becoming one of my favorite patterns.... i did something similar with ben's christmas quilt, and loved it. i am definitely going to be doing this again sometime for me!
i used the Moda "Wonderland" collection by MoMo, mixed with Robert Kaufman Kona cotton solids, as well as some of his Carolina Chambray solids. The batting is my all-time favorite wool (Quilters Dream Wool) which never disappoints in it's puffiness and cozy warmth. This is hand-quilted with 100% cotton Gutermann thread, and was also hand bound with the same. This quilt was made for use! wash/dry as much as necessary :)
final size is 57x77 ...a lovely size for napping, snuggling with a loved one, or hogging for yourself!
i wanted to do some outside photos, but the grass had dew all over it!
the front...
back
fyi...as with anything handmade...there is always some sort of imperfection. this one's? The center stripe on the back is slightly slanted.
some close-ups of the hand-quilting and binding.
Price $250
i'll be listing it on Etsy tomorrow... so if anyone here wants to claim it before i do so, just email me!
Absolutely beautiful! I don't know how you'll let this one go.
