independence is breaking through

  6 years old must be the helpful/independent age.  i woke up to find that ashlyn had already fed herself and ben breakfast, she had dressed, cleaned her room, and by the time i stumbled into the kitchen to make coffee, she was brushing her teeth (while ben read to her). i think i like this ;)

 

after she was done brushing, they decided to read the book together... each of them reading every other page.  it was so darn cute.
